Vaporization has emerged as an effective and convenient method to use essential oils. In vaporization, essential oils are encouraged to evaporate in the air where they can be inhaled. This process is also referred to as 'burning'. However, it has been often found that while burning the essential oil the oil is destroyed and a foul smell is reproduced making it inconvenient for people present in the room. It has therefore become important to learn about the various ways in which these oils can be vaporized effectively.
Candle vaporizers are widely used for vaporizing oils. A candle vaporizer, in simple terms, refers to a small bowl which is hung up over a light candle. This bowl contains water and just a few drops of essential oils. The burning candle heats up the water, thereby causing the oils to evaporate. For effective results, it is recommended that a large sized bowl be used for the purpose. This helps in ensuring that the candle is properly diffused. It is further important to make sure that the candle is not held too near to the bowl as it can overheat the bowl. The water has to be added first followed by the essential oil. This can ensure that the oil floats on the surface of the bowl.
For safety reasons, it is further important to see that the vaporizer is out of reach of small children. In addition, people with pets should remain cautious while using these vaporizers at home. For the same reason, it is often suggested that this processes is not followed at offices where objects such as papers can easily catch fire making it difficult for the staff to control any potential adversary. By keeping these simple things in mind essential oils can be vaporized quite effectively.
